175th Anniversary celebrations

Huddersfield Choral Society was founded in June 1836.  We celebrated the 175th anniversary of this great occasion with a series of fundraising and social events and concerts during the season, culminating in a Gala Concert and Gala Ball in June 2011, as near to the original founding date as possible.

Photographs and details of these events will follow shortly...

The concert season was as busy as ever, including five performances of Messiah, a UK première and Prom. concert. However the highlight of the season for many was a celebratory performance of The Dream of Gerontius.
