2023 is Kirklees Year of Music – a celebration of the world-class musical events and opportunities in our area. What better way to show your support for music in Kirklees than to subscribe to our concert season!

Your subscription includes the Annual Messiah as well as the Spring and Autumn concerts. As a subscriber, you will have the best chance of getting tickets for all these concerts and of being able to choose the seats you prefer. You will also make a saving compared to buying the tickets for the three concerts individually.

We open our season with a very special performance of Monteverdi’s glorious and awe-inspiring Vespers of 1610. This is one of the true choral masterworks, though written in the 17th century, and the Choral Society will be performing it for the very first time. Our long-standing friend and Artistic Advisor Martyn Brabbins returns to conduct our famous Messiah performance alongside the Orchestra of Opera North and a quartet of star soloists. In the spring we continue our partnership with Ellie Slorach in a special programme that features Mozart’s evocative and moving Requiem alongside some lesser-known but equally moving works.

The Choral are singing better than ever and we are incredibly proud of all we continue to achieve. We are committed to maintaining and growing our subscriber community. It is an enormous privilege to perform to a regular and committed audience and HCS singers really value the loyalty and enthusiasm of subscribers.
