Competition Success for HCS Youth Choirs

Congratulations are in order for the Huddersfield Choral Society Youth Choirs who have yet again seen great success at the Mrs Sunderland Festival.
Competing last Friday, 14th February, HCS Youth Choirs came second in the under 9s category, beaten to the top spot by Lindley Junior School, and won the under 11s category. They entered two choirs in the under 21 category: the main choir, comprising over 50 singers, and their chamber choir Vocalise. We are thrilled that our wonderful young singers achieved first and second place in the under 21 category.
HCS Youth Choirs Musical Director, Alison North MBE, achieved her own personal clean sweep, conducting not only HCS Youth Choirs but also the Lindley Junior School choir that won the under 9s category. The Mrs Sunderland organisers publicly acknowledged Alison’s huge contribution to choral singing for young people.
Huge congratulations to Alison and the HCS Youth Choirs!
