We are privileged to work and perform with renowned professional musicians, orchestras, composers and conductors, and only by maintaining these relationships can we sustain the quality of our own performances which have long been acknowledged as outstanding for what is essentially an amateur chorus.

£5

could help with music hire for a singer.

£50

could help with venue hire for rehearsals.

£500

could help fund student bursaries.

We aren’t tied to any commercial orchestra or venue, and we receive no support from the Government or the Arts Council.

Since 1839 The Huddersfield Choral Society has endeavoured to promote the highest standards of classical music performance by amateur singers and it continues to do so by supporting its wider family, including HCS Youth Choirs and HCS Voices, respectively the best of young, aspiring singers and adults, enthused to experience their own version of contemporary, classical music performance.

Doing all of this under the care of volunteer Trustees can be a daunting task. The cost of everything apart from the voices of its singing members presents a significant financial burden on the Charity’s resources; musical scores, professional artistic and musical guidance, professional orchestras, rehearsal space and venue hire are just a few of the essential items that we have to pay for each season.

If you would like to support HCS with a Donation or Sponsorship, please contact us via info@huddersfieldchoral.com and we will be delighted to discuss the options available.

Please remember that, if you are a UK Taxpayer, with your consent HCS will be entitled to claim Gift Aid on your donation which means that we can claim an additional 25% of the value of your gift from HM Government.

HCS is a Registered Charity (No. 11100851) and is financed entirely by a combination of its members’ subscriptions, the generosity of individual and corporate Patrons and Sponsors, and revenue from ticket sales.
