Be part of the very best choral concerts in the North! Choose your seat for the season’s concerts then sit back and enjoy the music. We value our Subscribers’ support and invite them to be at the front of the queue for concert tickets, enjoying a whole season’s music for less. We have a dedicated Subscriber’s Secretary to help and assist our Subscribers with any queries.
The work of leading conductors is included within the cost of our season tickets. In addition to our regular conductors, guest conductors are often invited to lead concerts at no extra cost to our Subscribers. HCS have appeared on stage with familiar names such as Vasily Petrenko, Dame Jane Glover, Martyn Brabbins, Ed Gardner and Laurence Cummings.
As the North’s premier independent choir, HCS continues to promote a wide range of choral music. In addition to commissioning new works, the Society upholds the British choral tradition, performing well known classics from the choral repertoire. All of this is there for our Subscribers to enjoy within their season tickets.
All our Subscribers receive free access to Choral Notes, HCS’s quarterly newsletter. The online magazine contains interviews with personalities connected to the Society, information on forthcoming events, articles about our sister choirs, HC Youth Choirs and our community choir HCS Voices, plus a miscellany of other items.
Subscribers are given special consideration when HCS participates in special events locally or further afield. Details will be supplied as events occur.
Our Subscribers’ Secretary is available to help with any issues around tickets and concerts throughout the season. She liaises closely with Town Hall staff and is always on hand on concert nights, offering a friendly face to help you with any queries.
