Your season ticket includes the Autumn concert, the Messiah and the Spring concert. As a season ticket holder, you make a saving compared to buying concert tickets individually, you don’t have to pay a booking fee, and most importantly, you can secure your preferred seat for the season.
We open our season on 1st November, as we perform Haydn’s great oratorio Creation. Other than Messiah, this work has been a deserved favourite of HCS audiences right from the society’s inception. For our Messiah concert on 20th December, we will be conducted by James Burton with four outstanding soloists and the Orchestra of Opera North; it’s sure to be another spectacular performance. In the spring we have a very exciting concert on 14th March. As the Choral approaches its 190th birthday, what more appropriate than a concert that celebrates the very making of music? As a birthday present HCS has commissioned composer Kristina Arakelyan to write a companion piece to Elgar’s The Music Makers.
The season ticket does NOT include the Christmas Concert or Summer concerts which can be purchased separately when individual tickets go on sale.
This year we are introducing a ‘park and ride’ offer, exclusively for subscribers. Leave your car in Springwood Car Park, Huddersfield HD1 4BN, (free after 6pm) and take a short shuttle bus ride to the Town Hall. After the concert, the bus will take you back to the car park.
A single payment of £10 will entitle you to use this service at all three concerts – that’s 6 rides for £10!
NOTE: Season Tickets go on sale at 9am on Tuesday 15th July
On the next page, select Season Ticket 25/26 + Park & Ride – This £10 is added to the cost of your season ticket so you can purchase everything at once.
